At Unbore, we seek to continuously challenge ourselves in order to diversify our cultural programme, strengthen educational outreach activities, internationalise the interdisciplinary approach towards the arts and, above all, promote curiosity and engagement in crucial issues of today. We have invited experts at the forefront of growth in the scientific and technological publicity of design and art to contribute to Unbore’s development on a senior level. Anna Dumitriu

Anna Dumitriu is a pioneer in the field of BioArt with an extensive exhibition track record, including ZKMArs Electronica, BOZAR and many more and a renowned speaker, who presented talks on her work in prestigious venues such as TATE Modern, Princeton University, Imperial College LondonThe University of Oxford. She was the 2018 President of the Science and the Arts section of the British Science Association.

Anna’s research explores emerging technologies and utilises digital and biological media, including robotics and synthetic biology as well as sculpture and traditional crafts.

 

Claudia Schnugg

Claudia Schnugg is independent researcher and curator developing methodologies for innovation and meaningful interaction with the arts. Her academic expertise builds on social and economic sciences as well as cultural sciences.

She has been producer and curator of residency programs, and catalyst for numerous international artscience projects, working with leading scientific institutions, universities, tech corporations and cultural partners, such as Helmholtz Center MunichArs ElectronicaScience GalleryESA ESTECEuropean Southern Observatory, Human Insights Lab at Accenture, and Art|Sci Center at UCLA. Her most recent book is Creating ArtScience Collaboration.

 

 Margherita Soldati

Margherita is a material designer and concept developer, whose main focus is tactile experiences contextualized at the crossroad between arts and healthcare.

In the past Margherita has collaborated with renowned institutions in the Netherlands such as Officina Corpuscoli and Mediamatic as a curator, artist and instructor. She is currently a developer at Textile Lab at the Waag and leads her own studio in Amsterdam.

Ken Arnold

Ken is the Head of Public Programmes at Wellcome Collection, where he oversees collaborative international programmes and a research Hub based in Wellcome’s London headquarters. Both convene experimental partnerships around key strategic health challenges. During the previous two decades, Ken spearheaded a number of multidisciplinary initiatives, helping establish Wellcome Collection in 2007, and directing its first decade of programming.

Since 2016, he has also been Director of Medical Museion and Professor at Copenhagen University. Medical Museion is a ‘research museum’ that uses culture, the humanities and arts to reimagine the past, present and future of health and medicine.

 

Kieren Jones

Kieren is the course coordinator of MA Material Futures at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London.

He is best known for projects that present alternative models for future living in relation to key issues that our society is facing. Kieren's work has been extensively exhibited internationally at institutions such as the V&A, Somerset House, Design Museum, the Eyebeam Gallery and at Gwangju Design Biennale 2011 curated by Chinese artist, Ai Wei Wei.
